MiniNail Titanium E-Nail Review

This is the MiniNail, they call it an electric concentrate vaporizer, and this general design is commonly known as an electric nail or e-nail.

MiniNail It’s made for use with clean wax and oil concentrates that fully melt to a liquid when heated. Using this thing is what I would consider the safer, saner way to dab (no torch).

This is one of those reviews where you really have to watch the video to get a feel for how this thing works, so make sure you watch it!

Build Quality – Made in USA

They make this unit in Seattle, Washington in the good ol’ USA. It’s built with the daily dabber and concentrate enthusiast in mind, you can leave this thing on 24/7 and it won’t bat an eye. I wouldn’t really do that for safety reasons, but you catch my drift.

The controller box has an aluminum casing and it’s super durable, it can withstand some abuse. The heater cord and coil are the parts you want to be gentle with, you want to make sure the cord is never pinched or twisted and you really need to be mindful of where you set down your coil (if not attached to rig).

Titanium E-Nail Certified Grade 2 Titanium

All of the titanium (Ti) parts and accessories that go with this are certified by a third party as Grade 2 quality, you can check the certificate on their website. This means it’s the real deal, you don’t want to mess around with cheaper, inferior materials when you’re dealing with temperatures this high.

The universal titanium nail they include fits basically every popular connection size out there: 14MM & 18MM female pieces and 10MM, 14MM & 18MM male pieces.

If you like to dab big globs of oil they got you covered, the deep dish nail is the one you want. It works the same exact way as the standard size one but the bowl part is roughly twice as deep.

Performance is on Point

It’s pretty amazing how much of a difference there can be with just slight adjustments in the nail temperature. The MiniNail is super accurate too, the temp display on the controller box is calibrated with the bowl surface for very consistent readings. Heat up time is also very reasonable at about 3 minutes.

Ti Nail One of the main benefits of using an e-nail like this is “low temperature dabbing,” which is basically controlling the temperature of the nail at a lower point than what a torch normally gets to. Generally, low temps would be considered below ~650°F (roughly), and many people like to use it set even lower, somewhere around ~550-600°F.

This allows you to fully experience all of the flavors and aromas from your concentrate, many of which get lost with high temp dabbing (~700°F+). You’ll hear these commonly referred to as Terpenes or “terps,” and these are the pungent oils that give each type its unique taste and smell.

The one drawback of using the e-nail at low temperatures is that you’ll usually need to take a longer pull before all of your concentrate is fully vaporized, so you need a little lung power. The cool part of the precise temp control is finding the perfect temp you like for the exact draw duration you prefer. Want a longer hit? Drop the temp. Want it quicker? Bump it up.

Quartz Banger Quartz Banger Accessory

They sell a Quartz EBanger kit as an add-on accessory, and it’s an awesome way to experience your oil that really brings out its full flavor.

You use this in place of the titanium nail, the heater coil will fit right onto the bottom of the glass bowl.

Typically you’ll get the best results setting your temperature lower with the quartz than you would with the titanium, which for me is usually around 550-600°F.

Included with the banger is a quartz carb cap as well, and I show a bunch of examples of how it’s used in my video.

Final Notes

You get a 2 year warranty on the controller box and a 1 year warranty on the heater coil. Chances are you’re not gonna need it though, build quality is excellent and it’s also made with grounded connections for a longer life.

It also uses very little power when it’s running, only 1 amp or about 89 watts at its peak!

They do ship worldwide too and they have a 240VAC option so it’ll work in all countries.

Stay up!
